Rosemead (2025) is a dramatic thriller based on a true 2017 LA Times story about a Taiwanese American mother named Irene (played by Lucy Liu) struggling with terminal cancer and the severe schizophrenia of her teenage son, Joe. Isolated by cultural stigma and the death of her husband, she takes drastic measures to protect her son.
